E-MAILED CLARIFICATION 16 JULY 2005 FROM JACK DOUB ON MISTY REUNION RATES (MISTY REUNION, OCT '05)! Recently the rates quoted by the Holiday Inn, Destin did not reflect the 'special' Misty Rates we've negotiated with hotel management. The actual rates for the 12-16 October 2005 affair are: Holidome Inland View... $78/day The normal rates would be $125, $155, and $195 for the same period. Although our rates are slightly higher than last year, we still received a good deal from the hotel. (If you want to come early or stay late the Inn will honor the "Misty Rate" for the entire period.) If you received another quote from the hotel when you made reservations, call back, and request a change to the actual "Misty Rates!" Toll free: (877) 837-6181. If you have ANY problems ask to speak with "Betty"... who is the head of reservations... and she will straighten out your problem! I spoke with everyone concerned at the hotel yesterday and they extend their apologies for any misunderstandings. Now is an excellent time to make your reservations: 12 October 2005, Wednesday: arrivals, registration, hospitality suite activitiesThe Hospitality Suite, a full service bar and lounge on the 9th floor Tower, will be open everyday for mingling, football on TV, and the usual catching up. Roomy & a beautiful view of the Gulf! We were notified Friday [last] that the boat with whom we were arranging our fishing outing will be retired from service in September!! Quite an unexpected surprise. Stand by: We're commencing arrangements with an alternative charter vessel. Note: Some of our folks were reluctant to arrange their own dinner cruise on Thursday evening, 13 October 2005; so we will handle that as soon as negotiations are completed with the ship/boat. The plan will be for attendees to send their reservation request and check directly to me, by snail mail, and I'll handle the details with the cruise ship.
